Introduction:

Triderm is a combined medication for topical application in dermatology. Triderm possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic, antifungal and antibacterial effect. Triderm is used to decrease inflammatory manifestations of dermatosis accompanied by secondary bacterial or fungal infection.

Pharmacology:

Triderm is a combined medication for use in dermatology. It possesses anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antipruritic effects of betamethasone with clotrimazole antifungal activity and antibacterial activity of gentamicin. Betamethasone dipropionate - a synthetic corticosteroid. Betamethasone is characterized by a rapid and prolonged anti-inflammatory effect. Clotrimazole possesses antifungal activity (inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol fungal cell membrane). Clotrimazole is effective in the treatment of dermatomycoses Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the aminoglycoside group. Gentamicin provides a highly effective local treatment of primary and secondary bacterial infections of the skin.

Indications:

Triderm is used to treat decrease inflammatory manifestations of dermatosis that can be treated by corticosteroids, accompanied by secondary infection caused microorganisms and fungi:

  • Different forms of eczema accompanied by bacterial infection
  • Athlete's foot
  • Scaly skin disease
  • Dermatomycosis
  • Candidiasis and Tinea versicolor

Contraindications and cautions:

Triderm is contraindicated for use in:

  • Individual intolerance of any of the medication ingredients
  • Skin tuberculosis
  • Skin manifestations of the syphilis
  • Chicken pox
  • Skin reactions after vaccinations

Adverse effect:

Tridem is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include: itching, irritation, dryness, desquamation, skin rash, exudation, local edema, folliculitis, acne, hypopigmentation, dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, paresthesia.

In long-term use systemic side effects are possible.

Interactions:

Do not apply Triderm cream simultaneously with other medications for topical use.
