• Acute porphyria
• Pregnancy
• Lactation period (breastfeeding)
• Children under 12 years of age
• Hypersensitivity to ranitidine or other components of the medication

Zantac should be used with caution in liver and kidney failure, liver cirrhosis with portosystemic encephalopathy in anamnesis.
