What should you know about the Protonix therapeutic effects?

Protonix contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole which belongs to a group of medicines proton pump inhibitors. Protonix works by blocking the enzyme called Н+-К+-АТP- ase which is responsible for the transporting of Н+ into the stomach. Н+binds to Cl- ions and forms hydrochloric acid. By inhibiting proton pump Protonox helps to reduce the amount of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. • Erosive esophagitis
• Pathological hypersecretory diseases (such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome).

You should not taking Protonix if any of these conditions apply to you:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the medications ingredients
• Severe liver and kidney diseases
• Pregnancy
• Breastfeeding
• Dyspepsia of neurotic genesis

Which undesirable side effects may be caused by the drug?

• The most common Protonox side effects include: headache, diarrhea, nausea, flatulence, insomnia, skin rash, vomiting, high blood sugar levels.
