What should you know about the Generic Retin-A therapeutic effects?

A natural metabolite of retinol, violates the expression of a gene that causes changes in protein synthesis. Passes through the cell membranes and forms complexes with specific cytoplasmic receptors, which penetrate the cell nucleus and bind to DNA. Depending on the state of the tissue, the protein synthesis is induced or inhibited. Tretinoin inhibits the gene transcription factor (AP-I), thereby reducing or eliminating the synthesis of metalloproteinases and leveling the negative impact of sunlight over the skin (including hyperpigmentation).

• age over 50 years (in the treatment of adverse effects of sunlight)
• with caution: seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, sunburns, liver failure, pancreatitis, renal failure, chronic intoxication (including alcohol intoxication), diabetes mellitus.

The Generic Retin-A adverse effects include:

Local reactions: allergic reactions (moderate to severe) - stinging, hyperemia, burning, swelling at the site of the drug's application, photosensitivity, skin hypopigmentation, peeling and dry skin, blistering or crusting; rare - hyperpigmentation of the skin.
