The activation of mast cells and basophills causes the release of inflammatory and allergic mediator called histamine. Histamine acts on different organs and system and causes allergic reactions.

Patients with allergic reactions usually experience the following symptoms:

• Sneezing, nasal congestion or runny nose
• Redness, itching of the skin and soft tissue
• Watery and redness of the eyes
• Coughing
• Itching in the eyes, throat and nose

Allergy treatment usually require the application of anti allergic medications such as:

• Antihistamines(Loratadine, Cetirizines, Fexofenadine and other)
• Corticosteroids
• Nasal steroids
• Decongestants
• Mast cell stabilizers
